If you have ever paid attention to the television commercials you see or print

ads about kitchen cabinets, they very rarely ever talk about what the cabinet

is actually made of!!  They will sell you on the look or design of the cabinet,

but rarely ever mention what the structure consists of.  For many this may not matter… afterall it’s the outside that everyone sees. For some the price may not be worth the upgrade… while others may not be able to afford it.

Most cabinetry is in fact made with particleboard or similar pressed product but there is a difference.  This can have a HUGE

impact on the durability and life span of

your kitchen over many years.   Both particle board and plywood don’t like water but just a small leak can ruin lower grade particle board cabinets.

Ask your sales rep to tell you what the upgrade cost would be if you want the best “box”.
