Take the Easy Road With RTA Cabinets

In days past, those who were striving to upgrade their kitchen cabinetry had to use either full or semi custom cabinets, and we all know how much those cost. However, the story is a bit different nowadays; with the insurgence of RTA (ready to assemble) cabinets on the market, people have started paying more and more attention to them, seeing as how they’re recognized for their value.

But what exactly makes those cabinets so special? First of all, it takes anywhere from 20 to 40 minutes in order to install a base cabinet, and it can take even less to install a set of wall cabinetry. When comparing to the time and money it would take you to renovate your kitchen the old-school way, it is pretty clear that the one who goes for RTA cabinets is making the wise decision. The prices usually vary around $3000, which isn’t much when compared to the minimum of  $10,000 you’ll need to shell out in order to get a pre-assembled cabinet hardware installed. Also, it’s always a plus when merchandise arrives on time, and seeing as how most RTA cabinets take 7-14 days to deliver (much less than assembled cabinet manufacturers, which can take up to 1-2 months to deliver).

Now I know that I make it sound as if RTA cabinets are the perfect and flawless solution everyone’s been waiting for, but I’d be lying and holding out if I didn’t warn you of one single flaw. As some might have started to suspect by now, at such low prices, there is no way you’ll be getting the best materials out there, which means that RTA cabinets will damage easier and last less on the long run. However, this does not mean that they’re complete garbage; even though the materials aren’t of the highest quality, they still more than qualify for the job, and shouldn’t hold you back from purchasing ready to assemble cabinetry.
